IDRA | BOAT FOR CANAL TRANSPORT

A new concept of public transport in response to the need to exploit Milan’s canals as an alternative to the standard urban transportation. It uses four swivel floats to ensure maximum maneuverability in tight spaces and does not require an inversion of direction once the destination is reached: its has mirrored shape and there are two identical pilot station at the ends. The propulsion is powered by 4 electric motors, environmentally friendly and with low maintenance costs. Disengagement areas and large side openings are designed for wheelchairs access.
